My life is still sideways. I’m moving boxes, figuring out what should have gone into storage in the first place, and realizing that I should have thrown out that thing years ago. Not Alex though—she’s a keeper, and she’s not afraid to let everyone know it.
And not this nice book either!
Ley got me this for my birthday. The Work of Art is a book written by the longtime magazine editor Adam Moss. He investigates the creative arc of producing a work, with all its detritus and cruft and discards. I started reading it last night and I look forward to more.
With a little luck, we’ll be back to our regular programming by this time next week. With a little less luck, at least you’ll get another picture of Alex—or maybe a flower. We’ll see.
