I’ve got more for you.
More Miska: 1/19-20/2016
I’ve got more for you.
I’ve got more for you.
Closing in on the last material I have…
Do you still like Miska? I have plenty more to share. But I admit that we’re getting close to the end of the material I was able to finish before classes began this semester. I’ll have to find something new to share with you soon!
This week’s new flash fiction challenge from Chuck Wendig is to write a story inspired by the seven deadly sins. I chose randomly, and ended up with Pride. Solid, fun stuff.
It’s the same setting as one of my recent experiments, the one set in a flooded Florida, but focuses on Latour instead of Pat and Pat. Enjoy!
Immediately after the fight…

I watched this movie for the first time on Wednesday. It was glorious. I knew immediately upon watching it that I would have to mention it here. I’d strongly recommend it to anyone who is capable of dealing with a little bit of gore. It’s smart, it’s painful, it’s funny, it’s good. And it’s exceedingly well made.
This movie manages to introduce a group of twelve or so characters, with eight or ten of them introduced in the first ten minutes of the film. Though you’d be hard pressed to learn most of their names until you’re most of the way through the movie, you quickly know who they are and what they’re like. They feel like individuals, real (sometimes entertainingly caricatured) people. And the movie doesn’t punch down.
Look. I don’t want to spoil anything for you. I’m not going to break this down into some deeper analysis right now. I just want you to know that you should give this movie a chance. Unless you’re looking for something dumb and toothless, in which case you’re looking in the wrong place.
Soon after…
Skipping a little bit ahead…
The following tidbit is the result of me trying to come up with what it might feel like to fly on a magical skyship in the setting that Mattias, Wendell, Frisbee and I came up with last Sunday. It’s a setting that we’re hoping to use for RPGs, and at some point soon you’ll be able to enjoy it along with us! More about that later.
For now, have fun with this…
I’m not sure what to call this. It’s a bit of random setting and character development that I did on a whim. Maybe you’ll like it? I think it has legs, though I quite probably don’t yet know where to focus for best effect.
Here are a few short scenes for your enjoyment.
