I do listen to a wider variety of music, but when it comes time for me to focus…

…or write or to do background world building, I come back to Makeup and Vanity Set time and again. Usually it’s the Brigador soundtrack that I listen to. So imagine my pleasure at learning that MAVS is releasing a new album for the new Brigador game!

Nota bene: that new game, Brigador Killers, just entered early access 5 days ago (6 when this post goes up, I guess). It looks like some reviewers on Steam are sad that it isn’t a more finished product. As someone who hasn’t yet played this early access game, I think it’s a little silly to be upset about a fresh early access game being not-there-yet. Your mileage may vary.

Anyway, I’ve enjoyed the tracks I’ve heard so far. I plan to pick up the album on the next Bandcamp Friday (Sept. 4^th). I’ll probably also grab something from Martin Stürtzer or Lustmord. Martin Stürtzer has excellent ambient music that helps me to zone out, focus, or simply relax. Lustmord is much spookier, and some of his work is excellently evocative for writing when I don’t want the electronica of Makeup and Vanity Set.
